Trumpet
Brayden started to play the trumpet this year. At first start, he spent a lot of time just playing notes and learning how to play. One day as he was upstairs practicing I asked Riley if he would ever want to play an instrument. Riley’s response—“not if I am going to sound like that.”

Directional Humor
The other day, Wyatt had "Dads and Doughnuts" at preschool. So I was taking him to school that morning. We pulled out of the driveway and this is the conversation that took place:
Me: "Wyatt, I haven't taken you to school this year, you will have to show me where to go."
Wyatt: "At the top of the hill go right."
I guess I should have been more specific.

Literal Humor
Last night we were at the Pirates game. And a beer vendor walked behind us. Here is what ensued:
Vendor: "IC Light!!!"
Riley: "Why did that man just say I saw light?"
Made me laugh and realize 6 year olds take everything very literally.

Mexican Sader
This year I decided it was time to introduce the boys to March Madness. The plan was for the 3 oldest boys to fill out brackets, along with Steph and I. Whoever picked the most games right, gets to choose what restaurant we would go out to. I edged out Brayden/Steph by 2 points. So I have decided to pick El Paso as my restaurant of choice. I was telling the boys of my decision tonight and they asked all the normal questions. After talking about the restaraunt for a couple of minutes, Riley asks, "Daddy when are we going to El Passover?" I laughed really hard and they asked me why I was laughing. Sometimes you just can't find the right words to explain something to little boys.

Bedtime Donuts
So tonight I got all the boys bathed and starting towards their beds. Wyatt needed to go downstairs to get his blanket. So when I started down the stairs to get Sawyer's bottle, I see Wyatt heading up the stairs. Blanket in one hand and 2 donut holes in the other. I said Wyatt you have to put those back. "No Daddy, I already started eating them." He then proceeded to show me where he had taken one bite out of each donut. Therefore they were his and he went to bed with 2 donuts and his blankie.

3 Year Old Logic
This afternoon Wyatt called Dusty to see if he wanted to come over. After Wyatt hung up, this conversation followed:
Brayden: "Where is Dusty?"
Wyatt: "In his car."
Brayden: "No, I meant where is Dusty?"
Wyatt: "I said, he is in his car."
Brayden: " No, I mean where is he, in his car?"
Wyatt: "In the driver's seat."
3 year olds make thing so simple.
